Here are Walmart’s Black Friday 2009 HDTV-related deals. Walmart consistently has the best Black Friday deals year after year, and this one is no different. Notable deals are a $79 Magnavox Blu-ray player, a 50-inch Sanyo 720p plasma for $598 (that’s a lot of screen for that amount of money), and Blu-ray movies like Gladiator and Dark Knight for only $10. Bargain Blu-ray players just received a new record low price with Walmart selling the Magnavox NB530MGX Profile 1.1 player at $128 as the base “non-sale” price. The online store is showing it as sold out, but it’s widely available in Walmart brick and mortar stores as well. Enter your zip code into the Find a Store search box to find the nearest to you.

This new low pricing leads me to think that Blu-ray players are going to go for $99 on Black Friday for 2009.

The entire list of Wal-Mart Black Friday deals has finally been released. It looks like Walmart may have some of the best deals for Black Friday. WalMart.com has some nice value bundle deals on sale leading up to Black Friday. A standout is a sweet Playstation 3 bundle for $488 (see below). Head on over to Wal-Mart.com to check out their pre-Black Friday value bundles.

Wal-Mart’s Black Friday deals brings us the cheapest Blu-ray player yet, the Magnavox NB500MG9 for $128. There are two other HDTV-related deals:

Wal-Mart’s Pre-Black Friday Sale: Sanyo 46-inch LCD $798, $100 Gift Card With PS3 Purchase

Wal-Mart is getting their Black Friday bargains started a little early with a sale on November 8. They will have a Sanyo DP46848 46″ 1080p LCD HDTV for $798. The Sanyo has not been professionally reviewed, but there is a small discussion thread about it over at AVS Forums (link).

Wal-Mart is also are bringing back a previous bargain: a free $100 Wal-Mart gift card with purchase of a Sony Playstation 3 ($399). If you’re know you’re going to spend $100 on something (e.g., groceries), and it’s available at Wal-Mart, the gift card essentially knocks a $100 off the price of the PS3.

There are a few important details:

The deals are only good at 8:00am at a Wal-Mart store. (Online store will have its own specials.)
There is a limit of 1 per customer, but they are stocking at least 10 of each item at each store.

Walmart.com has a deal with all its Blu-ray players, including the Playstation 3. You purchase a Blu-ray player at full price, and you get a $100 gift certificate that can only be used online at Walmart.com. How is this $100 off the price of a Blu-ray player? Well, if you’re going to buy $100 of something in the near future and it’s available on Walmart.com, it’s the same as saving $100 on $300 spent, right? Ok, it’s more like getting $400 worth of stuff for $300.

The Magnavox NB500MG9 is most notable because it’s the cheapest Blu-ray player at a starting price of $298. It has 1080p output but uses the Blu-ray Profile 1.1.
